Cargo vehicle for downtown

       This project was proposed by the company IKOP, which is installed on the Science park Izarbel.

       The company is specialized in the design and manufacture of tricycles to transport one person.

In order to increase its products range, the company wants to develop a three-wheeled vehicle for transporting goods downtown.

The project consists in the design of the vehicle from the previous existing model.

Orientation of a mini camera from a VR helmet

   The project was proposed by Olivier PATROUIX, teacher researcher at the ESTIA school and LIPSI research laboratory in the field of robotic.

   Under the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) project, the LIPSI team needs to finalize the study and the implementation of a micro camera orientation control system (3 rotations) from the movements of the head’s driver. The driver is equiped with a Virtual Reality helmet with a sensor capable of measuring changes of direction. These measures help to determine the data control to be applied to the actuators.

Research Department: Design a tap

   In a research department office context, we were offered to work in groups of 5 students around the design of a tap.

   The goal is to design an innovative tap which differs from the market. In our case, we decided to regulate the water temperature by a circular touchpad and integrated the soap output directly from the tip of the tap.

Cat recognition system

   The project's goal is to find a way to prevent any intrusion of foreign cats.
To push away any intruder, we assume that a cat is very nervous when entering in unknown territory. A simple noise during his passing can be enough to do escape him.

The realization of the catflap is simplified: the door can swing freely.
If an unknown cat by the system begins to push the door, it will trigger a speaker and / or a lamp which will make him run away.    

 

   The aims of the project are to understand how an existing electronics system works, to realise simulation in operation of the system and to produce a prototype.

Designing a dermatological table

   This project follows to a request from the Bordeaux hospital. It allows you to follow up patients suffering from a skin disease called vitiligo.

   The table provides a maintained position of the patient's head, it is coupled to a camera positioned at 3 different locations. The result provides a 3D rendering of the face of the patient.

Design of a cutting system on the fly

   The Department of SGM (Engineering Material Science) Bordeaux has an extrusion machine of H profile.

   In order to carry out tests on samples of this profile, we were asked to design an adaptable module at the output of the extruder to cut on the fly the profile to a certain length.
